Erosion Control Blankets

All erosion control blankets consist of natural or synthetic fibers, and they are commonly used on slopes or other bare soil areas. They prevent runoff from carrying away the topsoil and simultaneously help plants grow.

Straw Blankets

Straw blankets are temporary control products that work around slopes, hills and wetlands. Straw blankets usually break down independently, or you can remove them about seven or eight weeks after seeding.

Excelsior Blankets

Excelsior blankets are biodegradable erosion control solutions. You do not have to remove the blanket once you lay it down, and it can prevent erosion on slopes and channels.

Straw Coconut Blankets

Straw and coconut erosion control blankets consist of natural fibers that break down after some time. They encourage vegetation growth, which will prevent decay after the blanket is removed.

Permanent Blankets

Unlike other erosion blankets, which you remove after seedlings form or wait to break down, permanent blankets last much longer. Permanent blankets can withstand harsh conditions and continue preventing runoff for years.

Jute Mesh Matting

Jute matting prevents erosion on banks, inclines and other landforms by suppressing moisture and encouraging plants to establish roots in the soil. Jute mesh prevents water runoff and keeps topsoil in place.

Filter Socks

Filter socks are low-impact development tools used to prevent erosion. They allow water to pass through without coming into contact with the ground underneath. They also filter out sediment and other materials.

Coir Log

Coir, or coconut fibers, assists with halting aquatic erosion. Coir logs are typically used in aquatic areas to help prevent land erosion. They hold soil in place while filtering water through.

Stakes

Stakes hold straw wattles in place to effectively present erosion. To use stakes with straw wattles, drive them straight through until they contact the ground for a firm connection.

Inlet Silt Sacks
